North Country Angling - bass tournaments

Attending the February New Hampshire Fish & Game Commission meeting held at the Owl Brook Outdoors Education Center in Holderness (stop by sometime; it is a paradise for outdoors enthusiasts with target ranges and trails), there was a presentation by Inland Fisheries on the new fishing tournament registration program. The program is now being run online, and tournament directors can register and pay their fee in real time.

The new system is sleek and eliminates the need for a lottery system, as it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. There were 400-plus tournaments already signed up for the 2026 fishing season. The normal number of fishing tournaments in New Hampshire is 500.
