North Country Angling: Celebrating moms

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day. That celebration of the women who brought us into the world and supported our love of fishing. The person who drove us to the pond. The person who drove us to the tackle shop. The person who encouraged us with a “that’s a big fish” when the fish was only 6 inches. Yes, without support from our moms, would we be the anglers we are today?

Then there are the moms who are fishing buddies. They get up early and have breakfast on the table before heading out. Or pack a substantial lunch to bring to the river. These moms have the rods and reels that match our own in quality. Having a mom who is your fishing buddy is a bonus to the whole fishing journey.
