Kennett High School Principal Neal Moylan told school board members last week that electronic cigarettes — vaporizers, or vapes, in particular — have become an epidemic on high school campuses across the United States as well as at Kennett High, where many students have been suspended for vaping. The Centers for Disease Control say e-cigarettes can lead to addiction and are never safe for young people. Many are concerned that vape cartridges are available in flavors like chocolate and cotton candy, designed to appeal to kids.
