CONWAY — The Conway School Board voted Monday to retain the John H. Fuller Elementary School property in North Conway Village for the foreseeable future, rather than selling it. The vote was based on a recommendation by the John Fuller Action Ad Hoc Committee, which has met over the past year, most recently Jan. 21.

The school board had voted in April 2024 to close the school due to falling enrollment across the district. Since then, the board and its committee have deliberated on what to do with John Fuller. Options included selling, leasing or mothballing the property.
