To the editor:

New Hampshire’s pheasant hunting season runs October 1 through December 31. This year, 11,535 adult ring-necked pheasants will be released across the state at approximately 62 stocking sites. These disposable living beings are among the most desirable game birds, preferring to run rather than fly, testing the most skilled hunting dog with their crafty maneuvers.
