I wasn't surprised by Ms. Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony that President Donald Trump tried to grab the steering wheel of his limousine and demanded that he be taken to the Capitol so he could join the rioters. After all, Trump thinks he can grab anything.
The Secret Service has NOT debunked this claim, in fact most news outlets say that the story told by Ms. Hutchinson circulated widely within the Secret Service during the past year.
Mr. Oronato is yet to testify, and certainly has not made such a statement publicly under oath.
The Secret Service has not given any official statement either way. The Agents will not give sworn statements until they are cleared by the Secret Service to do so. As for what "news outlets" circulate, you can toss that in the garbage.
BTW, both Agents have debunked this account "unofficially".
I agree with Dave, I always thought second hand information was considered hearsay and not allowed in any honorable court. The fact the people actually in the car refute her claims make her testimony comical.
It's not a court, it's a Congressional investigative committee with subpoena powers. The hearsay rule is pretty complex, with many exceptions that may be applicable here, including the "present sense" exception and the "excited utterance" exception, even though the declarant (in this case, the two secret service guys) are available for testimony. TFG might seek to exclude Hutchinson's testimony in his criminal trial, but that protection is not available in front of the J6 committee, since his liberty is not in jeopardy - yet.
When TFG is tried, he'll have the right to object to this portion of Hutchinson's testimony, and perhaps have it excluded as hearsay, but the SS guys will be forced to testify.

They're coming for you Donald. It's only a matter of time. Thank God.
I should have written: The U.S. Department of Justice is coming for you, Donald. Because that's what I meant.

You realize the secret service have debunked this wild claim?
Truth, facts, and statistics are irrelevant to those with TDS.
For them, it's all about feelings, affirmation, and their "lived experience".
