If "consumers" are not informed about the horrors animals endure to keep industry as inhumane and profitable as possible, they can't make informed choices.

Absolutely agree. Most people would be horrified if they truly understood what animals go through for the sake of cheap food. It's not just an animal welfare issue, but a public health and environmental one too. The media has a responsibility to shed light on this, not shield it. We can't keep turning a blind eye while factory farms continue to profit from cruelty and risk. Awareness is the first step toward meaningful, compassionate change.
