The problem with "Common Sense" gun laws is they always infringe on our Constitutional Rights.
Let's be honest about what this really is; The incremental, gradual process of voiding the 2nd Amendment with going through the hard work of doing it Constitutionally, or in other words-Legally. The Left knows this so they constantly try any back-door method they can.
"Red Flag Laws" will automatically cancel your Constitutional Rights (5th Amendment) unless they include Due Process provisions. Otherwise, every person with a grudge could file a complaint against their neighbor, boyfriend, girlfriend, or anyone.
Besides, when has a criminal ever obeyed the law, or for that matter, DA's enforced those laws?
It's time to stop acting emotional/hysterical and deal with the real problem- Pervasive over-medicated (substance abuse) & alienated, emotionally & mentally damaged (mostly) young men.
Case study after case study of mass shootings points this out, along with other people having had knowledge or interaction with the shooter prior to the incident.
Parents need to start doing the hard work of parenting and raising their children. You can abdicate that responsibility to others.
