If it was a BLM protest that day, there would have been National Guard deployed, and the protestors would have been gunned down long before they got to the police lines.
Because the insurrectionists were white they were treated with kid gloves and allowed to break through police lines without a shot fired. This is a good example of the stubborn underlying racism in our country.

But place blame where it lies, and hold those truly at fault responsible, Donald Trump offered nany pelosi 10,000 armed national gaurdsmen to secure and keep order, and it was refused.
Should some of people attending be held responsible for actions against police officers, yes ! But very, very few. The blanket prosecutions and over the top harsh punishments doled out by the liberalist justice department was wrong.
No obe would have been procecuted if they were blm, or gaza protesters, nomatter how violent they would have been.
Violence against the police is abhorrent. But so is the lack of preparation prior to the legal demonstration. Nancy Pelosi refused to allow extra police to protect the capital despite President Trump's authorization. A "peaceful protest" turned violent, which can sometimes happen in a mob. This is why the capital should have been better prepared.
But if we are going to be ashamed, how about the hundreds of thousands of deaths, thousands of human trafficking victims, and thousands of crime victims due to Biden and Harris' illegal open border policies? It is outrageous that the Left allowed these policies to continue for four long years.
While many police officers suffered some injuries, those violent protesters (and many non-violent ones) served several years in prison and were only released due to Trump's pardons.
How about we give the same sentences to the Democrats who enabled hundreds of thousands of dead and injured Americans due to the open border policy?
