To the editor:

As a long time animal and domestic violence activist, based on my involvement with the Conway Humane Society and Starting Point, I share in the community’s deep hurt and anger over the thoughtless events surrounding an innocent duck’s death by several Kennett High School football players. It truly offended the community’s deep sense of the sanctity and value of life and our need to protect those more vulnerable than ourselves.
