Looking back — it’s something we all do. This year, some extra-meaningful anniversaries were celebrated: man’s first steps on the moon (50 years), D-Day (75 years), Woodstock (50 years), fall of the Berlin Wall (30 years), birth of the Energizer Bunny (30 years) and the Beatles’ last public appearance (50 years).

Fifteen years ago, the Patriots won their second Super Bowl in as many years; the last Oldsmobile rolled off the assembly line; the final episode of “Friends” aired; the Red Sox won the World Series for the first time in 86 years; Ken Jennings won 74 straight games on “Jeopardy;” and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Granite State College was born.
