• The Conway Planning Board was looking at a proposal that would create a new “commercial core” zone, to limit hotels and big box stores (greater than 15,000 square feet) to the southern end of the North Conway Strip. The Cambria hotel, a 113-room luxury hotel that opened in June, is among the last large hotels approved before the town put a moratorium on such buildings in 2022.
