(The Center Square) — Democratic New Hampshire Rep. Chris Pappas will face former Sen. John E. Sununu in the November elections to settle an open U.S. Senate race that could help decide the balance of power in Washington.

In Tuesday's primary elections, Pappas handily won the Democratic Party's nomination in a crowded four-way race for the seat being vacated by outgoing Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, a three-term Democrat who is retiring.
