JACKSON — “If walls could talk” implies a rich history, that a place has witnessed lifetimes of occurrences both extraordinary and common. And while walls, of course, cannot talk, the Ham House on Dundee Road has a compelling story to tell.

Among the oldest structures in Jackson, the circa 1820 farmhouse is a striking example of a dwindling number of hillside homesteads that thrived in 19th-century New Hampshire, the heyday of New England agriculture.
