OSSIPEE — The Carroll County legislative delegation on Thursday voted to slash the big raises its executive committee had opted to give the next county attorney, register of deeds and county sheriff, though whoever takes office in those positions next year will still see an increase in pay.
The delegation's executive committee consists of Chair Lino Avellani (R-Wakefield), Bobbi Boudman (D-Wolfeboro), John MacDonald (R-Wolfeboro), Chris McAleer (D-Jackson) and Rep. Jonathan Smith (R-Ossipee). Historically, the full delegation sets the pay for these elected officials every two years but this year opted to give that power to the five individuals on the committee.
