OSSIPEE — Last April, Carroll County commissioners heard from a crowd of people who said they didn't want the county sheriff or jail to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

On Monday, the jail superintendent clarified that the corrections department isn’t involved in any such cooperation.
