CONWAY — Gov. Chris Sununu (R-Newfields) is concerned New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation presidential primary status could be in jeopardy if one of his former colleagues on the Executive Council becomes the next secretary of state.

Sununu, during a visit to the Sun last month, pledged his support to current secretary of state Bill Gardner over former councilor Colin Van Ostern.
