OSSIPEE — A petitioned warrant article to be voted on in March would prevent selectmen from working for the town, as selectmen Jonathan Smith and Kyle Copeland do now.

Selectmen discussed the petition at their meeting on Monday. The article would bar sitting selectmen from working part- or full-time for the town, providing contracted services to the town, or accepting any compensation from the town other than their selectmen salary.
