CONWAY — The second replacement column was installed at the damaged front façade of the Conway Public Library on Thursday morning, marking a milestone in the project.
“It’s a little surreal after all the planning and work to see both pillars back in place, I’ll tell you,” said Library Director Jeff Beavers after the four-man crew from Knowles Industrial of Gorham, Maine, surprised everyone with the quickness in which the second of the two pillars was installed.
