CONWAY — Held in tribute on Wednesday to late Mount Washington Radio Group owner Greg Frizzell, the 23rd annual Mount Washington Radio Group and Vaughan Community Services’ holiday radio food drive surpassed last year’s $41,000 total — big time. As of 4 p.m., it was $61,228 and climbing.
Former radio station staffers George Cleveland and Annie Provenzano came back to help out with the on-air duties at 3 p.m., taking over from program manager Roy Prescott, and disc jockeys Rob Burbank and Rich Gray, who handled the duties earlier in the day as the station began broadcasting live from Vaughan at 7 a.m. and planned to go until 6 p.m.
