CONWAY — Conway Daily Sun Publisher Mark Guerringue has announced the addition of two new staffers to the paper.

Courtney Coffman has joined the Sun’s sales team, and veteran journalist Rob Burbank is now part of the Sun’s editorial staff, reporting and copy-editing.

Burbank is a longtime local resident. He was a reporter for the Mountain Ear in the 1980s and early ’90s, and from then until January of this year worked in media and public relations for the Appalachian Mountain Club in Pinkham Notch.

Coffman, a North Conway resident, has worked in the Mount Washington Valley for the past 10 years, the last two being at the Green Granite Inn & Holiday Inn Express, where she was promoted to events coordinator and director of sales.

Guerringue said he was pleased with both hires.

“Courtney has sales experience, is smart and has excellent people skills. Rob is a news professional and has a wealth of local institutional knowledge. We’re very happy to have them.”

Coffman replaces Betsy Hopler-Ayres, who now works for A.J. Coleman’s in Madison. Burbank replaces Brett Guerringue, who moved to South Carolina, where he is employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers.
