OSSIPEE — Selectmen are backing a proposal to remove the railroad tracks between Mountain View Station and Route 16 in an effort to create a handicap-accessible trail. Those interested should attend the Conway Branch Rail Trail Advisory Committee meeting May 6, Selectman Kyle Copeland said.

Meanwhile, a group of rail enthusiasts oppose the project.
