BRIDGTON, Maine — The Bridgton man charged in last week's brutal home invasion attack on the owner of Macdonald Motors and his wife is being held on $250,000 bail after making his first court appearance.

Michael Holden, the alleged intruder, was escorted by deputies into a courtroom in Cumberland County Unified Criminal Court last Friday in Portland, where Robert and Margaret Macdonald's children and grandchildren sat.
