CONWAY — With the Conway Public Library taking a better-to-go-slow approach, it looks like the damaged columns at the front entrance of the main building won’t be replaced till next summer.

Quality first was the the overriding message from members of the Conway Public Library Building Committee about replacing the two brownstone columns at the entrance to the 1900-built landmark that was damaged in a fatal motor vehicle accident in 2022. The accident resulted in the death of a young, local woman and charges against the driver.
