CONCORD — In one of New Hampshire’s largest poaching cases in recent times, five men were arrested as part of “Operation Night Cat,” a more than two-year investigation led by the state Fish and Game Department.

Sgt. Kevin Bronson of Fish and Game said conservation officers received information of illegal hunting activities in Gilmanton in December 2022. Following an initial investigation, officers and Gilmanton police “executed a search warrant on a cell camera and cellphone belonging to Thomas Kelley of Gilmanton. During the search, evidence of illegal hunting activity was found implicating Kelley as well as various other individuals.”
