OSSIPEE — A Carroll County judge ruled that a dog named Bam Bam, formerly owned by Christina Fay, the Wolfeboro woman convicted of 17 counts of animal cruelty for her neglect of 75 Great Danes, could be put down without Fay being present. The dog was scheduled to be euthanized Tuesday after biting a Humane Society agent.

In mid-March, a Superior Court jury found Fay, 60, guilty on all charges. The case wound up in Superior Court after Fay appealed a guilty verdict that followed a bench trial in Ossipee Circuit Court.
