FRYEBURG, Maine — The outcry over water extraction during a drought and complaints and solutions to water pipe infrastructure will be discussed a special community water meeting organized by the Fryeburg Water District to be held on Monday, Sept. 22.

The meeting will be held at the Fryeburg Public Library at 6 p.m. The Fryeburg Water Co. owns the water works that serves both town residents and Poland Spring. Fryeburg Water Company outsources management of the system to another company called Maine Water. Fryeburg Water District was set up in case the water company’s owners wanted to sell.
