OSSIPEE — The county kerfuffle regarding Bonnie Batchelder’s role at the county was apparently resolved last week, and Batchelder will remain the chief financial officer rather than the chief operating officer.

The Carroll County commissioners meeting Dec. 9 came to an abrupt halt when Commissioner Chuck McGee (R-Moultonborough) stormed out after a heated exchange with board chair Terry McCarthy (R-Conway). At the Dec. 9 meeting, McGee said he wouldn’t return until new commissioner Harold Parker is seated next month, but he attended last week’s meeting on Dec. 12.
