CONWAY — Retired Center Conway Fire Chief Raymond Leavitt and his wife, Beth, recently volunteered their time to deliver outdated fire equipment to the Ogunquit (Maine) Department, which is sending it to Ukraine.
According to Center Conway Fire Chief Glenn Merrill, the Leavitts drove to the Ogunquit fire station located at 15 School St. on June 28. There, Ray helped firefighter/paramedic Nathanael Pierce load it into a storage area before shipment overseas.
