CONWAY — With decreasing enrollments in the Conway School District’s three elementary schools, is it time for the Conway School Board to explore adding preschool education? Board member Michaela Clement floated the idea last week when members were talking about the role of the Infrastructure Review Ad-hoc Committee.

The committee met on Dec. 6 and voted 5-0 to bring forward a recommendation to close a K-6 school and relocate the sixth grade to Kennett Middle School for the 2024-25 school year. They also recommend building a K-8 school over the next five years, and shutter and sell the remaining elementary school properties along with the middle school.
