BARTLETT — The Bartlett Historical Society has approached the Bartlett School Board about buying St. Joseph’s Church from the school district for $1. The board agreed to put  an article on the town warrant and allow voters to make the decision.

The Bartlett Historical Society is currently leasing the St. Joseph’s Church (formerly St. Mary’s) from the Bartlett School District in the hopes of turning the property into a museum. Officials from the society approached the school board in December to see if the board would be willing to create a warrant article for annual school meeting in March to sell the property to the historical society at for $1. The move would help the society in its fundraising endeavor.
