CONWAY — Mark Hounsell, the Conway School Board's representative to the Municipal Budget Committee, believes the board is bringing a sound budget forward to the voters this spring, and he urged the the committee to support it.
Hounsell, who departed early from his board's school meeting in the cafeteria at Conway Elementary School to attend the budget committee's meeting across the street in the Professional Development Center at the Kennett Middle School, read a lengthy prepared speech to the committee. He believes the school does "not have a spending problem, it is a revenue problem," and that the state needs to get involved to provide taxpayers property relief.
