CONWAY — Although not ideal conditions, the Kennett High JV Black team was able to make its season-opening debut with a match at Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine, on April 15. Gould, one of the oldest girls’ lacrosse programs in the Pine Tree State, defeated KHS, now in is third year as a program with its sights set on attaining variety status in 2020, 11-5.

Playing on artificial turf at Schroy Field with hefty snowbanks lining the outskirts of the field, the contest marked the first time the Eagles had been on any sort of field this spring, even to practice, let alone play a real game.
