CONWAY — Well, it seems that summer was a late arrival, wasn’t it?, arriving at loooonnng in time for Labor Day — ironically, the traditional end of summer. We’re possibly in the stretch of six consecutive 50-centers — the top local blue-skied weather rating given by North Conway cooperative weather observer Ed Bergeron on the daily “Morning Weather Show” on WMWV 93.5-FM.

For those who don't know, the station rates each day on a scale of a nickel to 50 cents. It's a tradition that goes back to the late Joe Dodge, the legendary former AMC hits manager. You're supposed to put the day's rating into a piggy bank and then donate it to the charity of your choice.
