Coming up this weekend: Chocorua Mountain Club Trail Clearing Day. If you feel energetic, help maintain trails on Mount Chocorua or join a crew to work on trails on conservation land in the Chocorua Lake Basin. Either way, spend time outdoors with friends and neighbors, and gather at the end of the day for a potluck to celebrate. This Saturday, May 10, meet in the Grove at Chocorua Lake at 9 a.m. (see chocorualake.org/events/2025/5/10/cmc-trail-day for more information).

Remick Farm and Museum welcomes Portsmouth’s Pontine Theatre on Thursday, May 15, at 6:30 p.m., with “Sojourner Stories: New Englanders in Nature.” This special event includes their original “toy theater” adaptations of “A White Heron” by Sarah Orne Jewett and Robert Frost’s poem “The Star Splitter.”
