TAMWORTH — Selectmen on Tuesday voted to pursue all-way stop signs at Route 16 and Route 113 and in Tamworth Village after holding a listening session at Cook Memorial Library that drew about 20 people.

Last month, selectmen held a meeting in which state Highway Safety Project Engineer Corey Spetelunas and Engineer Emma Bell pitched the possibility of installing “four-way stops” at Routes 113 and 16, Route 113 and Page Hill Road, and Route 113 at 113A and Main Street.

I can't imagine the traffic this will cause as drivers try to figure out who has the right-of-way. Especially on holiday weekends. And of course, there will also be the traffic caused by the police enforcing the new signs.
