JACKSON — This week, I joined Sun photographer Rachel Sharples for a tour of the new Jackson Fire Station, which is now open for business and preparing for its formal ribbon cutting and dedication on June 6.

We were greeted by longtime chief Jay Henry, as well as Emily Benson, the town’s emergency management director. As we arrived, a group of local fire chiefs from around the valley were just leaving, so our timing was perfect.
