CONWAY — Who knew opening day could last so long?

The Kennett High baseball team was scheduled to open its season at home against Laconia on April 13, but the game was pushed back a day due to the threat of rain. The Eagles and the Sachems were able to get in four innings of action before the sky opened. KHS led 3-1 when the game was suspended due to thunder and lightning.
