Just when you think the news is enough to sink the holiday season, Mother Nature delivered us an old-fashioned snowstorm last week that hit all of the right notes. Yes, most of us lost power for a while, but it really wasn’t scary cold yet and the weight of the snow, delightfully absent the prior storm’s heavy rain, made it easier to move. But the best part was that it stayed cold for the better part of the week and as far as the eye could see the world around us was enveloped in a thick wrapping of pure, caked-on white.
