Just a few days ago, someone in New Jersey won over $1 billion in the nationwide Mega Millions lottery game. Of course after taxes, the prize amount will be something over $537 million but at those lofty heights, who’s counting? I also venture to say that in a country where the median income is around $75,000, there are few people who have a real grasp of what that magnitude of wealth really means. Not that you don’t hear folks saying that they’d sure like to find out.
