The Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library will be holding a special fall fundraiser and raffle Oct. 30 through Nov. 5 at Pietree Orchard at 803 Waterford Road in Sweden, Maine. The orchard has offed the library a wonderful opportunity as a fundraiser for the library. All people have to do is buy one of their wonderful pies and all proceeds go to the library. The pie options will include apple, pumpkin, mixed berries and strawberry rhubarb.
Buying a pie isn't the only choice for this fundraiser. If you bring a copy of your receipt for the pie you bought to the library, you'll receive a raffle ticket for a signed Stephen King book. Each receipt is worth one raffle ticket. if you have one of the five tickets to be drawn on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m. To add to the fun, members of the library will be in the Pinetree parking lot selling high-quality used books and book bags on Nov. 4 and 5. Remember all proceeds benefit our library. We are fortunate to have such a well organized and busy library in Lovell. For more information, call (207) 925-3177.
