As I write this, we have kicked off the 125th Old Home Week, and events are going forward full steam ahead through Aug. 4. I hope you and your family are out there participating in lots of fun things. Many thanks to the committee for all of their hard work in the planning and execution of a fun week. Congratulations to Bob Smart who is the grand marshall this year.
In addition to a full plate of events at freedomoldhomeweek.com, be sure to add the following to your busy Old Home Week agenda: the historical society's new exhibit about Effingham Falls and Freedom Antiques is open for business; the summer reading program at the library is in full swing (get on in there); and don't forget the gallery with the summer art displayed by new and returning artists. Those are all not to be missed.
