As was explained last week, this column (along with others and some news stories) will no longer be printed weekly due to paper costs associated with a rise in the paper tariffs. I would suggest you check the town’s website (albanynh.org) and follow the selectmen’s meeting on your computer as it runs live on Wednesdays at 5 p.m.

At this week’s meeting, Selectman Rick Hiland reported having sent a request to Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter that Albany receive its very own zip code. This was specifically requested by the businesses in Albany.
