Children with disabilities who are enrolled in Maine School Administrative District No. 72 (MSAD 72) serving the towns of Brownfield, Denmark, Fryeburg, Lovell, Stoneham, Stow, and Sweden are entitled to appropriate educational services provided at no cost to the child or family.If you suspect your child has a disability, you may request that your child be evaluated. The disability may be Developmental Delay, Autism, Deaf/Blindness, Deafness, Emotional Disturbance, Hearing Impairment, Mental Retardation, Multiple Disabilities, Orthopedic Impairment, Other Health Impairment, Speech or Language Impairment, Specific Learning Disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injury or a Visual Impairment.If you know of a child in MSAD 72 between the ages of birth and twenty with a disability and in need of services, call your local school principal or Nancy Hall, Director of Special Services, at (207) 935-2600.Children with disabilities in our school district who are enrolled in a private school or an approved home schooling program are entitled to certain services, as well.
