The 14th annual Fryeburg Academy Project Graduation Silent Auction will take place at Fryeburg Fairgrounds in Fryeburg, Maine, on Saturday, March 31. The Project Graduation committee has been busy collecting donations for this annual fund raiser."Area merchants in past years have donated more than 500 items," says Jane Dutton, coordinator for the event. "Gifts are coming in and the community suport we have received is overwhelming." Dutton reports that she is expecting more participants this year than in years past. "Last year, we had an overwhelming turnout. Already, people are asking me about this year's auction, so I know they are getting anxious." Proceeds from the auction benefit the chemical-free trip for the current graduating class. The public is invited to place bids on articles for auction between the hours of 4 and 6:30 p.m. The drawing will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. Project Graduation will accept donations up to the week of the auction.
