2019 Miss and Mr. Mount Washington Valley Teens crowned

BARTLETT — The 2019 Miss and Mr. Mount Washington Valley Teen Scholarship pageants were held on May 5 at Believe In Books’ Theater in the Wood in Intervale. Teens representing Bartlett, Chatham, Conway, Fryeburg, Maine, Glen and North Conway competed in the 30th year of this scholarship program.

A month of rehearsals led up to the daylong event. During the morning, contestants participated in interview and public speaking competitions. During the afternoon, they rehearsed. The evening’s program, emceed by Mount Washington Valley Ms. MacKenzie Herlihy, began with the formal wear competition and included the optional talent competition. More than $2,500 in scholarships were won by the participants.
