Fran Deasy

On Sept. 30, 2025, Francis “Fran” Deasy passed away at the age of 92 in Venice, Florida. Fran was born in Elmira, N.Y., on Aug. 3, 1933, to Robert and Charlotte Deasy. He was the fourth of eight children. Fran attended elementary school in Lynbrook, N.Y., and graduated from Technical High School in Springfield, Mass., in 1952.

Fran joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1953 and served as a sergeant at Camp Pendleton, Calif. Upon return from the Marines in 1957, Fran began his banking career at the Third National Bank in Springfield, Mass., while starting college at Western New England College.
