On Monday, May 13, the adult book discussion series will conclude the Maine Humanities Series: The Gilded Age. The final book to be discussed is David Richards book "Poland Spring – A tale of the Gilded Age." The book tells of the how the family farmstead was converted during the later part of the 19th century into a famous Victorian resort. Also included in the book are the history of the Poland Springs Waters and the importance of the Waters to the economy. Books are available at the library free of charge.
