CONWAY — Open enrollment runs Nov. 1 through Dec. 15. If you buy individual private insurance, now is the time to assess your current plan and decide if it meets your health needs.

In Carroll County, consumers once again may choose between a number of Anthem plans and Ambetter plans. Current enrollees may have received a letter indicating their premium cost for 2019. Anthem uses old data to figure the premium, and consumers should review and update their 2019 Marketplace (Healthcare.gov) application to receive an accurate tax credit, even if their income will be the same in 2019. This year, many of the estimates quoted in letters have been far off.
