One year ago today, I received the devastating news that I had breast cancer. Today, I am a one-year cancer survivor who is now cancer-free. Yes, I cried, kicked, screamed and denied it for a few days and hated everything in this world. But then I decided to fight it. And fight it I did, and beat it I did.

I thank all my great doctors for their care. And now I am ready to enjoy life and start on year No. 2. Kind of ironic that the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month is the day I received my diagnosis.
